Exciting changes for our private subscribers
We are very excited to announce some big changes to Tassomai’s private subscriber model which make Tassomai more impactful and better value than ever before.
Instead of signing up for specific subjects, Tassomai students can now access all of the relevant subjects for their age group for one fixed price.
The new price is based on a student’s school year:
£44.99 / month for children in years 9 to 11
- One price for full access to all 3 sciences, new and improved GCSE maths, French, Latin and all new English Literature.
£29.99 / month for children in years 7 and 8
- One price for full access to all 3 sciences, maths, French, Latin and English Language.
£8.99 / month for children in years 3 to 6
- One price for full access to maths, English and science (in years 5 & 6) for younger learners.

Important info for existing private subscribers
If you are a customer with an active private subscription you don’t need to take any action, your monthly direct debit will automatically change to reflect our new pricing structure.
As well as having access to more subjects, most customers will find that their monthly subscription stays the same or in some cases decreases significantly under this new model. There will also be some cases where a monthly subscription is increasing, this primarily affects parents signed up to single GCSE subjects and parents of children in schools years 3 to 6 signed up to single subjects, as these courses were heavily discounted throughout 2020.
We are happy to adjust subscriptions for customers on a case by case basis, please contact our team to discuss your options if you would prefer to retain your existing package and price.
We hope parents will see the value in the new subscription model, but should they wish to cancel a private subscription this is possible at any time as there are no long-term contracts with Tassomai.

FAQs
Q. How can I find out what my new monthly subscription will be?
A. Take a look at our courses page and you should be able to work out based on your child’s year group and your current subscription what you’ll be paying in future.
Q. When will my subscription price change?
A. It depends when you originally signed up as this impacts on which day of the month your subscription is taken from your bank account, however please note that we are migrating current customers to the new model from mid January. Should there be any issues with your subscription during the migration process please contact us and we’ll be happy to resolve them.
Q. Will my child notice any change to their Tassomai quizzes if more subjects are accessible?
A. No, they won’t notice any difference initially. They will only be able to see quizzes in additional subjects if you choose to add those subjects via your parent dashboard.
Q. Why does the parent dashboard on my app look different to the parent dashboard I see when I log in via the website?
A. We need to publish a new version of the app which will happen a few days after making changes to the website itself. We recommend parents log in to the web/desktop version of their parent dashboard rather than via the Tassomai app in the short term.
Q. How many subjects should I add for my child?
A. It depends on your child, but remember that more subjects means more quizzes, and their workload needs to be manageable. Read this article for advice on managing multiple subjects.
Q. How do I monitor usage when my child has multiple subjects?
A. Your child will have multiple Trees (one for each subject) which you/they can view via the app or the online dashboard. Click here to read more about the Tree.
Q. When will my subscription end?
A. Tassomai subscriptions are set to end automatically based on your child’s age and the courses you chose originally. For example GCSE courses usually end in the year of your child’s GCSE exam.
Q. What happens when my child moves between price brackets (e.g. from year 8 to year 9)?
A. Your subscription will automatically stop (usually in June) of the last year in a price bracket. At this stage we will contact you to ask if you would like to continue using Tassomai for the next age category.
Q. Can I cancel my subscription?
A. Yes, you can manage your subscription through your parent dashboard or contact us to discuss cancelling your subscription.
Q. I’ve got more than one child using Tassomai, do I get a discount?
A. At the moment our system doesn’t allow us to automatically apply a discount to parents buying for multiple children, however if you contact us once you’ve set up your learner accounts we will be happy to apply a 10% discount for siblings.
Q. My child is using Tassomai for AS-Level science, what price will I pay?
A. AS-Level science will continue as normal, please contact us if you have any questions about this particular course.
Q. What do you mean by “new and improved GCSE maths”?
A. We’ve made some big changes to our maths product, this has been rolled out initially to schools (you can read our info for maths teachers here) and the new maths content is now available to private subscribers. All new subscribers will automatically get the new maths content, but current subscribers may want to keep going with the old course so as not to lose their “progress”. If you are affected by this change please contact us to discuss the best option for your child.
Q. How does the free trial work?
A. If you’re new to Tassomai and want to put us to the test, you can trial Tassomai for free for 7 days. You can read more about our 7 day free trial here.
