Introducing: The New Teacher Mobile App!
We are pleased to announce some big changes to the Tassomai teacher experience: you can now use Tassomai's mobile app! This has often been requested by our teacher community, so we hope you find it a useful and easy way of keeping track of your students’ usage.
Previously Tassomai's mobile app was just for pupils, parents and guardians, but we are now able to offer it to our teachers too. Simply download Tassomai onto your phone from The App Store or Google Play and use your login credentials as normal - there isn’t a separate app for teachers, it’s the same one your students use, but you will see a mobile optimised version of your normal interface.
What the app can do
The focus of this app is to make it super easy for teachers to pull up a single student’s data so they can engage with it on an individual basis. This means you could, for example, walk around the classroom and show everyone their own trees and stage interventions with each student based on their progress on the app, or use tree data as examples during parents evening.
The teacher mobile app is best used for viewing or editing your individual students’ information, so you’ll be able to:
View your students’ Trees, Daily Goals and usage stats
Update names, email addresses and password details for your students
Update your own login details
Manage classes / additional groups and move learners between groups
Merge student accounts
View which students are in which classes
What you can’t do via the app
There are a couple of features that aren't available on the mobile app and will still need to be accessed through the traditional desktop login, but the app is certainly more useful for your day-to-day needs and interventions with individual students.
Please note that you won’t be able to use the teacher app for more detailed admin tasks, like merge request approval, changing interleaving settings, managing content (pausing/resuming playlists), or changing daily goal discounts. Larger data overviews for whole classes or year groups will also only be accessible via desktop login, as there’s simply too much to display on a smaller screen!
